Aberdeen scholar honored at conference

Barbara Johnson of Aberdeen presented an electronic poster at a conference examining the settlement of the Great Plains at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and her work was voted "The People's Choice" for superior scholarship by the scholars, academic journal editors and the editor of Time Magazine who attended the conference. Presenting the award to Johnson is Charles Braithwaite, chairman of the judging panel, editor of Great Plains Journal and assistant director of the Center for Great Plains Studies at UNL.
