I grew up on a farm in south-central Kansas, and never dreamed I would someday bring news to thousands.  In grade school, teachers told my mom that I was very shy.  In high school, I aced speech class and, in college, I started exploring the broadcasting field.

I attended Hutchinson Community College for two years and continued my education at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan.  There, I earned the title of "Outstanding Student in Electronic Media."

I also began my broadcasting career in Topeka at WIBW-TV.  I learned a lot in just more than four years there, working as a producer, reporter, and also anchor on both the morning and noon shows.  I joined the KY3 News team as a reporter on Nov. 1, 2007.

My husband, Jesse, and I are excited to be here in the Ozarks.  We always make a canoe trip in the spring or summer, and are excited to go more often, now that the rivers are right here.  It's an exciting chapter in our lives, as we're also learning all about parenting!  Our daughter, Carleigh, was born Nov. 7, 2006.  She is a very outgoing little girl, and provides so much fun and entertainment!

Besides reporting, some things I enjoy are listening and singing along to country music, dancing, spending time outdoors.  I'd have to say my favorite food is dessert!
