Marie was born and raised in Chicago. 

Growing up, she was drawn to meeting new people and following current events.  After participating in a television news workshop during high school, she decided to pursue this profession.

Marie attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She spent her last summer of college as an intern at WLS-TV in Chicago.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism and was recognized by the Hearst Foundation for television feature reporting. 

Her career began at the university's NBC affiliate in Columbia as an anchor and reporter for KOMU-TV.

Marie joined the KY3 News team in September 2006.  She has enjoyed getting to know the people and issues of the Ozarks.

Outside of work, Marie loves catching up with friends and family, music, reading, traveling and serves on the board of the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks.
