Brandon was born in Searcy, Ark., and spent most of his growing-up years in northeast Colorado in the farming community of Holyoke. After graduating from Holyoke High School, Brandon moved to Springfield and attended Evangel College, earning a degree in broadcasting. From there, he joined KY3 News in 1996 as weekend weathercaster.
While Brandon’s love for weather goes back to the age of seven, his formal training didn’t come until he started his career. He holds a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and is a member of the American Meteorological Society. He was awarded “Best Weathercast” by the Missouri Broadcasters Association in 1998.
Brandon loves the outdoors and is an active member of his church. Brandon lives in Nixa with his wife, Cindy, and sons Christian, Caleb, and Braden.
