Sarah grew up in the Kansas City area and received a degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Kansas. She had developed a passion for weather by the third grade and wanted to do broadcasting in part to overcome her shyness.
Before coming to KY3, Sarah was a student broadcaster for the KU television station for three semesters and then worked part-time as a broadcast meteorologist at 6News in Lawrence, Kan., for two years.
Sarah is glad to be a meteorologist in the Midwest, where the weather offers many challenges and constantly changes. She joined KY3 in October 2008.
