Betty Cameron of the Women's Army Corps at Kennedy General Hospital, Memphis, Tenn., in the spring of 1945. Duncan was at the hospital getting treatment for a shrapnel wound he suffered Sept. 19, 1944, near Stolberg, Germany. As a rifleman with Company C, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, he hit Omaha Beach on D-Day. Today he is 89 and lives in Bethlehem Township.. |
