( Kim Hairston, Baltimore Sun / January 26, 2012 ) Robert Hicks Jr. of Owings Mills sits on a sofa in a new patient room. Hicks sat at the bedside of his critically ill son from September 2006 to January 2007 in the current pediatric wing. He became a member of the advisory board after his experience not having facilities for family members in the room. The new hospital's rooms will have bathrooms with showers, a sofa that doubles as a bed and other amenities. His son has recovered. |
