The fact that a couple hundred folks had come to M&T Bank Stadium for the U.S. Green Building Council Maryland's annual awards ceremony had particular relevance this year. Architects, designers and builders would be receiving awards for local sustainable projects in a building considered one of those projects.

Of course, adding to the excitement was the fact that the stadium's home team, the Baltimore Ravens, would be playing in the Super Bowl the following week.
