( US Presswire / October 22, 2011 ) Miller, a junior, will be the least experienced quarterback to start an opener during Ken Niumatalolo's five seasons in Annapolis. Though he showed some promise coming in for an injured Kriss Proctor last season against East Carolina, Miller's inexperience was evident in his first start the following week at Notre Dame. Miller reminded some of former Navy star Ricky Dobbs, who mentored Miller since he came to the academy. He may not be as strong an inside runner as Dobbs, but is faster and has strong arm. Offensive coordinator Ivin Jasper will be working strictly with Miller this spring. |
