( U.S. Presswire / October 3, 2012 ) Tough guy: Center fielder Adam Jones played in all 162 games during the regular season in spite of any number of bumps and bruises, which is why he bristles when anyone asks if his ankle is OK. It probably isn't, but Jones proved Wednesday night that it doesn't matter at this point in the season when he streaked across center field at Tropicana Field and made a spectacular catch to rob Ben Zobrist of an extra-base hit. He hasn't been himself at the plate lately, but don't be surprised if he proves to be a prime-time player when the lights come on Friday night. |
