David M. Adler has joined the Chicago entertainment law firm of Leavens, Strand & Glover LLC, as a partner. The firm, now called Leavens, Strand, Glover & Adler LLC, represents artists and companies in television, radio, film, music, publishing, theater, the Internet and new media.

Adler has experience in private-practice and in-house legal counsel, working on matters that include corporate and intellectual property law, information technology, copyright and trademark registration, licensing, contract negotiation and enforcement, group-couponing and social networking sites. He also advises artistic talent and creative professionals.

Adler also has taught at Chicago's Columbia College and is an adjunct professor at DePaul University School of Law. He is chairman of the Chicago Bar Association's media and entertainment law committee

Adler received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law and bachelor of arts degrees in English and history from Indiana University.
