David M. Adler has joined the Chicago entertainment law firm of Leavens, Strand & Glover LLC, as a partner.  The firm, now called Leavens, Strand, Glover & Adler LLC, represents artists and companies in television, radio, film, music, publishing, theater, the Internet and new media.<br>

Adler has experience in private-practice and in-house legal counsel, working on matters that include corporate and intellectual property law, information technology, copyright and trademark registration, licensing, contract negotiation and enforcement, group-couponing and social networking sites. He also advises artistic talent and creative professionals.<br>

Adler also has taught at Chicago's <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000199" title="Columbia College Chicago" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/columbia-college-chicago-OREDU0000199.topic">Columbia College</a> and is an adjunct professor at DePaul University School of Law. He is chairman of the Chicago Bar Association's media  and entertainment law committee<br>

Adler received his law degree from DePaul University College of Law and bachelor of arts degrees in  English and history from <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100102100000000" title="Indiana" href="/topic/us/indiana-PLGEO100102100000000.topic">Indiana</a> University.
