( July 18, 2011 ) Dr. Theodore Mazzone has joined NorthShore University HealthSystem as chairman of the Department of Medicine. He comes to NorthShore from University of Illinois Center for Clinical and Translational Science, which encompassed faculty and leadership participation from 12 U. of I. colleges and institutes. He also served in clinical leadership positions at Rush University Medical Center and has held faculty or staff appointments at Michael Reese Hospital and the University of Chicago. Mazzone received his M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA Medical Center, and a senior fellowship in Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition at the University of Washington. |
