( September 19, 2011 ) James Beyer has returned to the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw as senior counsel in its Labor and Employment department. He comes from Accenture, where he was director of labor and employment law since 1998. Before that, Beyer was senior employment law counsel for IBM. His previous stint at Seyfarth Shaw was as an associate. A skilled practitioner, Beyer brings a wealth of in-house experience, offering clients a unique and practical lens to solve their employment issues. "I'm very happy to return to working with my colleagues at Seyfarth Shaw," Beyer said. "While I will continue to cultivate the Seyfarth-Accenture client relationship, I look forward to sharing my insights and using my experience to help other corporate legal departments." Beyer received his undergraduate degree from DePauw University and his law degree from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center of Disability and Elder Law, as well as the Public Interest Law Initiative, and he is admitted to the Illinois State Bar. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law.
