( March 30, 2012 ) Mary B. Richardson-Lowry has been named to the board of Metropolitan Family Services, a provider of programs and counseling to low-income families. Richardson-Lowry, a partner in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown, serves on its Lateral Hiring and Diversity and Inclusion committees. Richardson-Lowry, immediate past president of the Chicago Board of Education, joined Mayer Brown in 2002. Before that she was commissioner of Chicago's Department of Buildings. From 1994 to 1998, she was assistant to Mayor Richard M. Daley. Richardson-Lowry has a J.D. from Texas Southern University School of Law and B.A. degrees in international relations and speech communications from San Francisco State University. |
