Honor Flight
Ozarks Honor Flight started in August 2009 as a grass-roots effort by a small group of local folks wanting to honor our local heroes for their service. Ozarks Honor Flight is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to remember and respect America's Veterans for their sacrifices for our freedoms. Honor Flight flies these American heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials at no cost to the Veteran. After all, they have give enough. Ozarks Honor Flight hopes to be able to give every Ozarks Veteran that wants to, the chance to see the memorials built in their Honor. Ozarks Honor Flight is an official hub of the National Honor Flight organization. According to recent statistics, 1000-1500 World War II Veterans are dying each day. Thus the mission of Ozarks Honor Flight becomes even more important.
