BRANSON, Mo. The Queen of England has some company in the 90th Birthday party table.

The Harlem Globetrotters celebrated their 90th anniversary with a parade at Silver Dollar City (Silver Dollar City Photo).

With a slate of singers, dancers, magicians and a red-white-and-blue marching band all welcoming a 12-foot tall spinning cake, the “Official 90th Birthday Party of the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters” kicked off a Star Spangled Summer in Branson. Silver Dollar City is the summer home to The Globetrotter Experience, produced exclusively for the theme park.

More than three thousand people attended the celebration Saturday, complete with a parade of stunt dogs, characters, music, performers and legendary players and their families. The park’s bakers also passed out thousands of cupcakes.

The world’s best-known basketball team will be trotting around the globe on its 90th World Tour. The Globetrotter Experience showcases highlights from the Globetrotters’ one-of-a-kind touring show, featuring trademark basketball wizardry, athleticism and humor. The show is the headliner of Star Spangled Summer for the next six weeks.
