SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Greene County voters must register by Wednesday to cast a ballot in the April 4th election.

The Springfield Mayor’s race, city council seats and a $189 million bond issue for Springfield Public Schools are among the items on the ballot.

Mail-in (Postcard) registrations will also be accepted if they are postmarked by Wednesday, March 8th.
When registering to vote, be sure to bring along an acceptable form of identification, such as a valid driver’s license, current utility bill or bank statement.

Under state and federal laws, registered voters are not disqualified for moving within a county, but Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller urges anyone who has moved or changed his/her name to contact his office as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary delays to help ensure a better voting experience on the day of the Election. These changes must be completed in writing.

If you plan to vote absentee, please make sure to bring a valid form of identification when coming to vote at the Archives/Election Center building at 1126 North Boonville. The deadline for casting an absentee ballot in person is 5:00 p.m. on the day before the Election, April 3rd.
