It can tell if it's a real charity. It can show you how donations are spent.
"Anytime a disaster happens, we all know that's the time when the scam artists come out. So we've experienced that here in the Ozarks with tornadoes or just storm damage. People that sweep in and sweep out with your money. You've got to be very aware of that and ask the right questions," said Jill Finney with the United Way.
Be very careful of Go Fund Me websites. Remember, anyone can create those and there's really no way to prove where your money goes.
