Lebanon voters again pass transportation tax

LEBANON, Mo. --- Lebanon voters said yes to a transportation sales tax continuation on the books since the 1980s.

The tax passed 445 to 160. This is the sixth time since 1984 voters in the Laclede County seat have passed the tax.

The sales tax equates to about 50-cents on every $100 dollars spent by anybody who shops in town. The tax pays for staff, construction and maintenance of the city's roads.
