Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring a lost Catahoula

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, our featured dog was found in the 700 block of north Forest and her beautiful markings should make her pretty easy to recognize.

"She's a Catahoula mix and she's got that typical blue merle pattern on her. We think she's mixed with possibly a Shepherd or something similar because she's a little more scruffy that your normal Catahoula."

Someone found the female dog running loose and brought her into the shelter on November first, so they've had her for a little while with no calls.

She didn't have a chip, collar or tags on her but she is well taken care of with trimmed nails and a clean, full coat.

shelter coordinator Josh Doss says she's very sweet with people and animals and she's a bit of a leaner.

"She does know how to walk on a leach but she does tend to lean into you as she walks so it makes it a little difficult to walk.

If you happen to know where this pretty girl belongs..or if you've lost your pet, call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also visit their website to see pictures of all the animals currently there and to fill out an online lost pet form.
