Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring a lost male Beagle

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're trying to get a talkative little dog back home to his family.

The adorable Beagle would love to get back to his family, who did the right thing originally and got him micro-chipped.

"Unfortunately it wasn't registered, so we're still looking for the owner. The company that sold the chip, that company went out of business so there's no records to look up from there."

Animal control believes the male dog is probably a pure Beagle. He was picked up at National and Commercial on January 30th.

He's about three to four years old and is in great condition, minus a small laceration over his one eye that is already healing up.

"It Looks like it was something fresh that he got from his big escape. He is intact so he was probably looking for a girlfriend and he probably got it digging under a fence or something like that."

If you recognize today's featured dog or if you've lost a pet, call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also check out their website to see pictures of all the animals there and to fill out an online lost pet form.
