Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring a young Black Lab mix

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're featuring a young, lost Black Lab mix.

This little girl has been at animal control for more than a week now but so far no one's come forward about missing her.

"She's you're typical Black Lab. She's a little smaller than most so she may be mixed with something like a Beagle, but otherwise, she's just your classic Lab mix."

Someone found this sweet girl roaming in the 600 block of southeast Callahan on February 16th.

She does have some white on her chest and toes, so that could help identify her. Animal control believes she's only one to two years old.

Unfortunately, she had nothing on her like a collar, tag or microchip. But shelter coordinator Josh Doss can tell someone owns her.

"She's well taken care of and very friendly and socialized. Her toe nails aren't long and her coat is good so someone has been taking care of her.

If you recognize today's featured dog or if you've lost a pet, call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also visit their website to see pictures of all the animals currently there and to fill out an online lost pet form.
