Man shot in drive-by shooting in north Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Springfield police are looking for the person or people involved in a drive-by shooting that sent one man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say someone in a car drove by a home in the 2100 block of N. Summit Ave. around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, and fired several shots into the home. A man inside the home was struck in the abdomen by one bullet. Police say several people were inside at the time.

Police were not able to confirm whether the victim and the shooter knew one another. The name of the victim hasn't been released. Police were unable to provide a description of the vehicle.
