On Your Side Investigation: Springfield Sunrooms liquidation auction

Everything must go.

There was a public auction at the former location of Springfield Sunrooms. You probably recall, the once multi-million dollar company filed for bankruptcy last month.

Contact KY3 On Your Side started investigating last fall when upset customers say they paid, some in full, and crews never finished the job.
Fast forward to today, court documents show liabilities are more than one million dollars.

No time to waste. The early bird gets a truck. There are tools to sort.
Two hundred windows to measure. Even a sunroom demo, is up for grabs. Just name your price.

"I hope some of the people that got hurt so bad, get the money," said Joe Aton, buyer.

Anita and Dave Scott come from Thornfield. That's an eighty mile drive.

"A lot of stuff and it's kind of unorganized. I was kind of like, I should have brought the trailer," said Dave Scott.

JC Johnson isn't here to bid. He'll tell you, he already lost his bet. He says he paid Springfield Sunrooms thirty-four thousand dollars.

"There's probably 50 percent of the stuff here that's nothing but junk. How much can you get for junk?" he asked.
