MALDEN, Mo. -- Governor Greitens visited tornado-devastated Malden Monday.
A tornado dozens of homes in the southeast Missouri community Saturday. The governor thanked first responders and others helping with the recovery.
“This is a resilient community. In the face of serious danger and damage, the faith, strength, and spirit of the community is unbroken,” said Governor Greitens.”
The governor also visited a nursing home damaged by storms in Matthews.
Governor Greitens declared a state of emergency Saturday in anticipation of severe weather. The same storm system dumped several inches of rain on the Ozarks, leading to flooded roads.
