Pedestrian killed after struck by two cars on Lebanon highway

LEBANON, Mo. (KY3) A man from Lebanon was killed after he was struck by two vehicles on Highway 64, eight miles west of town.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Richard Kanthak, 42, was standing in the roadway when a 2005 Ford Focus struck him and then traveled off the right side of the road around 6:20 p.m. Thursday. A second vehicle, a 2008 Ford Focus, then struck Kanthak. He died at the scene.

The drivers of the vehicles were not injured. There was no immediate word on why Kanthak was standing in the road.
