Springfield, Mo. Today and tomorrow the region will be under a heat advisory.

The Salvation Army opens its doors to provide a space out of the sun and a drink of water to keep cool.

If you're in need you can go to their lobby at 1701 West Chestnut Expressway during their office hours today and tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"I think the thing about it even for us with this hot weather going on, even if we're not under a heat advisory, we still have our facility open, we still allow individuals to sit within our lobby where the air conditioner is, if someone comes in and needs something to drink we still give it to them, people are in need on a daily basis it doesn't matter what time of the day it is we try to help them," Major Butch Frost, with the Salvation Army, said.

The Salvation Army still has quite a few fans to give out after its drive with Westlake Hardware. If you're in need of a fan you should call teh Salvation Army at 417-862-5509 and talk with a case worker and if you qualify you can receive a fan.
