SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield's City Utilities is working to fix a water main break in south Springfield.
The break is centered around the Martin Center medical building at 3901 S Fremont Avenue. CU says the break impacted seven neighboring businesses too. However, nearby Cox South Hospital is not impacted.
City Utilities does not know what caused the line to break. Crews hope to have it fixed sometime after noon. They then will test the water line for safety.
