ICE STORM WARNING covers much of the Ozarks

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The National Weather Service issued more winter weather warnings for all of southern Missouri.

An ice storm warning has been issued for Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Hickory, Laclede, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, St. Clair, and Vernon Counties. That warning lasts from midnight to Saturday at 6 p.m.

A freezing rain advisory has been issued for Barry, Howell, McDonald, Ozark, Stone and Taney Counties. Benton and Carroll Counties in Arkansas area also included. That advisory goes from midnight until noon on Friday.

Ice totals could accumulate to more than a half inch of ice through Saturday for the area. The potential for the most ice will be north of Highway 60.
