West Plains man killed after hitting deer on road

HOWELL COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) A man from West Plains was killed after he hit a deer while driving.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1994 Chevrolet 3500 driven by Gregory Spoor, 30, struck the deer on Rt. E just before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. The deer came through the windshield, causing Spoor to run off the road. Troopers say Spoor's vehicle went through a fence, struck an embankment and then a tree.

Spoor died at the scene.
