Police identify victim in Mountain Home stabbing at Dollar General store

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (KY3) The Mountain Home Police Department has identified a woman stabbed to death at the Dollar General Store.

Police say Kirstie Headley, 38, was an employee of the store. She was working at the time. Investigators told KY3 News she was stabbed five times by a man at the store located on Highway 5 just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday. She later died at a local hospital.

According to police, the suspect surrendered at a home a couple of hours later; formal charges are pending. Police say the two knew each other.

This is the first homicide investigation in Mountain Home since 2006.
