Several big names announced they were leaving Chicago. This group included <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP017324" title="Playboy Enterprises, Inc." href="/topic/economy-business-finance/media-industry/playboy-enterprises-inc.-ORCRP017324.topic">Playboy Enterprises Inc.</a>, which said in December that the magazine's editorial, art and photo departments were moving to the company's Los Angeles office. Chicago gave up other media talent to New York: Early morning anchor Zoraida Sambolin, sports anchor Paula Faris and meteorologist Ginger Zee all departed WMAQ-Ch. 5 for new gigs in the Big Apple. Sambolin headed to <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP000008070" title="CNN (tv network)" href="/topic/economy-business-finance/media-industry/news-agency/cnn-%28tv-network%29-ORCRP000008070.topic">CNN</a>, and Faris and Zee decamped for <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP000009600" title="ABC (tv network)" href="/topic/economy-business-finance/media-industry/television-industry/abc-%28tv-network%29-ORCRP000009600.topic">ABC</a>. Some Chicago icons also made news. The <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP016846" title="Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co." href="/topic/economy-business-finance/wm.-wrigley-jr.-co.-ORCRP016846.topic">Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co.</a> sold its famous skyscraper to a group of investors headed by BDT Capital Partners and will move its remaining 200 employees from the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLTRA0000168" title="Wrigley Building" href="/topic/economy-business-finance/consumer-goods-industries/food-industry/wrigley-building-PLTRA0000168.topic">Wrigley Building</a> to its Goose Island campus by the end of 2012. And <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB004206" title="Oprah Winfrey" href="/topic/entertainment/television/oprah-winfrey-PECLB004206.topic">Oprah Winfrey</a> ended her 25-year daytime run with a celebrity-packed valedictory event in May at the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLTRA0000002" title="United Center" href="/topic/sports/united-center-PLTRA0000002.topic">United Center</a>.<br>
