John McGovern was promoted from Vice President to Executive Vice President at Resolute Consulting, the company said this week. Prior to joining Resolute, John was a senior advisor to <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT002771" title="J Dennis Hastert" href="/topic/politics/j-dennis-hastert-PEPLT002771.topic">J. Dennis Hastert</a>, former Speaker of the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORGOV0000135" title="U.S. House of Representatives" href="/topic/politics/government/u.s.-house-of-representatives-ORGOV0000135.topic">United States House of Representatives</a>. During his eight years with Speaker Hastert, John worked as a press secretary, national campaign spokesperson and executive director of Keep Our Majority PAC, Speaker Hastert's national political action committee. He holds a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and an A.B. in history and American studies from <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000184" title="Princeton University" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/princeton-university-OREDU0000184.topic">Princeton University</a>.
