Keyes has been a board leader at AAAASF, performing many roles and chairing many committees, with an emphasis on advancing and upholding AAAASF accreditation as the "gold standard," defined by its commitment to patient safety. He is certified by two medical boards: The American Board of Plastic Surgery and The American Board of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="HEMSP00008" title="Otolaryngology" href="/topic/health/medical-specialization/otolaryngology-HEMSP00008.topic">Otolaryngology</a> – Head and Neck Surgery.<br>

Keyes is a graduate of the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000125" title="Loyola University Chicago" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/loyola-university-chicago-OREDU0000125.topic">Loyola University</a>, Stritch School of Medicine, and interned at Barnes Hospital-Washington University.
