( November 19, 2012 ) Cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. R. Anthony Perez-Tamayo has joined Loyola University Medical Center. He is an associate professor in the department of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He comes to Loyola from Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where was chairman of cardiothoracic surgery. Perez-Tamayo has both a Bachelor's and medical degree from the University of Chicago, and PhD from Duke University. He completed a residency in general and thoracic surgery at Duke University Medical Center, a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Loyola and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Duke University. |
