( November 19, 2012 ) Dr. Thomas Van Gilder has been named national medical director for HumanaVitality® and all wellness lines of business at Humana Inc. He will serve as a clinical advisor for Humana employer customers, providing solutions to enhance individual health and well-being as well as employee productivity. In this role, he will provide strategic guidance on implementing comprehensive employer-based wellness initiatives, such as HumanaVitality, and measuring their impact. Van Gilder previously served as vice president and market medical officer of Humana's Michigan and Wisconsin Commercial markets. Van Gilder received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, a medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern, a law degree from Notre Dame Law School and a Master's degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. |
