The Hawks had a 3-1 lead going into the final period but collapsed down the stretch in a 4-3 loss to red hot Minnesota. Wild star Stephane Veilleux knocked in the tiebreaking goal on Corey Crawford with eight minutes left in the game. Marian Hossa scored his 10th goal of the season in the first period for the Hawks, who barely held on to second place in the West against Minnesota. RECORD: 19-9-3
