Hollywood's only got one movie coming out this weekend. Angels and Demons should have enough action and religious skepticism for any diehard movie fan.

Angels and Demons preceded Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code as a book but the movie version is touted as a sequel to the huge blockbuster of 2006. Hanks and his ridiculous hair re-team with director Ron Howard for this globetrotting thriller that starts when someone is mysteriously murdered before the announcement of a new Pope.

They, of course, turn to Hanks' professor to look for symbols and clues that inevitably lead to some sort of secret brotherhood that may or may not be involved with some sort of effort to undermine the church. All of this takes place in dingy, shadow-entrenched alleyways.

Some have said the movie looks to undermine the Roman Catholic Church. The filmmakers say that’s nonsense; it's all for fun with nothing to worry about.

Like the first film, it shows director Howard should probably stick to movies with more substance and less schmaltzy suspense. The film also stars the always-interesting Ewan McGregor.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, Angels and Demons is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence, disturbing images and thematic material.
