LOS ANGELES -- The inside of Marilyn Monroe's chest is apparently worth more than $40,000.
A set of three Chest X-rays from the bombshell's 1954 hospital visit sold Sunday for $45,000 at the Hollywood Legends auction at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
West Hollywood-based Julien's Auctions sold the X-rays believing they would only fetch a total of about $3,000.
Other Monroe memorabilia that sold included a chair from her last photo shoot, which went for $35,000, a Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle which netted more than $9,000 and a crew neck sweater which sold for nearly $12,000.
The auction included items from other actresses, like a pair of earrings worn by Kate Winslet in "Titanic" that sold for $25,000 and a dress Audrey Hepburn wore in the musical "Funny Face" that fetched $56,250.
