Native of Australia says didgeridoos can be relaxation tools

SPRINGFIELD -- Many people have seen and heard about the didgeridoo, a wind instrument of the Indigenous Australians of the northern part of that country. It's a natural wooden trumpet, or "drone pipe."

Those people may not know that didgeridoos can be used to relax. Phil Jones, a native of Austrialia who lives in the United States, is in the Ozarks (November, 2007) to lead several workshops about mental clarity.

One workshop was Wednesday night at Shape Shifters Pilates Exercise Center, 1317 E. Republic Road. He'll be at Life Essentials Wellness Center, 210 W. Sunshine St., from 7 - 9:30 p.m. on Friday. He'll be at Unity of the Hills, 4868 Missouri 248, in Branson from 1:30 - 4 on Saturday.
