Jazz concert helps families of sick children

The sweet sound of jazz will help the families of sick kids in the Ozarks. Les Brown, Deanna Martin and Jana Evans joined Ozarks Today live in the studio to talk about Jazz Appreciation Month.

In support of Jazz Appreciation Month in April, the Missouri State University Music Department will host numerous concerts as well as a guest lecture. Coming up Sunday April 20 is a "Big Band Dance" featuring the Les Brown Band of Renown at 2 p.m. at the Shrine Mosque, 601 St. Louis Street. Proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House, which is a place to stay for families of hospitalized children. Admission to the concert is a minimum donation of $5.
