A developing story out of Laclede County where crews will be back searching for evidence this morning after human remains were found southeast of Lebanon. A man spreading fertilizer on a field near Tulsa Drive found a bone and clothing yesterday morning.

Investigators combed a six-acre area and found more human remains. Authorities are working to identify the person.

The mayor of Berryville, Ark., is scheduled to be in court this morning on on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and speeding. Timothy McKinney was arrested in March and posted bail of more than $1,400.

Mckinney said he was heading home after having dinner with his two sons in Eureka Springs.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri lawmakers likely will give final approval today to a $22 billion operating budget for next year. Among the items not in the budget right now is $500,000 that Gov. Matt Blunt requested to operate an e-mail archive starting in July.

Blunt is forging ahead with a plan to archive state e-mail messages, funding or no funding.

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - According to a recent study, more first-year teachers in Arkansas are staying in the profession than they did five years ago. The data suggests salary increases passed during a special legislative session in 2003-04 are having the desired effect.
