Breaking news from the north side of Springfield, A 30 year-old man accused of robbing a convenience store helps police solve the case by calling them and admitting that he did it. Investigators say the man walked into the Go Convenience store in the 800 Block of East Division about 6-15 this morning. Armed with a broken bottle, he threatened the clerk and got away with cash from the register. About 45-minutes later the man called 9-1-1 and told police he robbed the convenience store because the voices in his head told him to....and that he figured he should turn himself in. He's been arrested for first degree robbery

Springfield-based Convoy of Hope is working in Cedar Rapids Iowa to help families hurt by flooding. The agency made a weekend delivery of relief items to the city where more than eight thousand people had to be evacuated. Convoy is also working in Columbus, Indiana to hand out water.

Missouri's license plates are getting a new look. Starting today, you can get one of Missouri's newly designed license plates. Missourians who register or renew their tags starting today will get the new plates. Personalized and specialty plates will be available after January 1, 2009.-eat meals, cleaning supplies and paper goods.

FENTON, Mo. (AP) - Another Missourian has been killed in combat. Family members say 19-year-old Michael Patton of Fenton and three fellow Marines died when their vehicle ran over a bomb in Afghanistan. Patton was a Fox High School graduate.

LITTLE ROCK (AP) - State Game and Fish Commission Officials have been catching northern snakehead fish in Lee and Monroe counties. The snake is an interloper from China and is considered a nuisance because it can overtake native species and the fish is hard to kill.
