'Pickin for a Cure' concert heats up this weekend

Bluegrass and barbecue is available this weekend in Aurora. Ashley Kennedy was on KY3 News' Ozarks Today on Wednesday, along with the Missouri Mountain Gang, to talk about "Pickin for a Cure".

You can catch the Missouri Mountain Gang and other bluegrass bands from 2 -9 on Saturday at the Pate Early Childhood Center in Aurora. Tickets are $7. You can call (417) 236-3557 for more information.

Here's more information from the organizers; The following bluegrass bands will perform throughout the day: Missouri Mountain Boys (reunion), Timberline, Down Home, Missouri Mountain Gang, Lights of Home, Dennis Johnston Family and Brightwater Junction. There will also be a special guest from the Baldknobbers show in Branson.

BBQ will be provided by Alice Irene's of Marionville. This event is being hosted by the A.K. & Company Relay For Life team. All proceeds will go to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Lawrence County.
