FAIR GROVE, Mo. -- During the Class 2 playoffs, football fans have had their eye on Fair Grove High School running back Caleb Schaiffitzel. The senior set state records this year but he's also setting the standard off the field.
Schaiffitzel is involved in National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and Students Against Distracting Decisions. He also takes part in a student prayer group and tutors a kindergarten class.
Caleb says he's just one student making a difference.
"There's a lot of role models here already," he said.
"Parents teach them the values they need to teach them, and students take that to heart," said Fair Grove Principal Mike Bell. "They're here for each other, and that's something Caleb is top of the list on."
