Grilled wasabi Caesar salad 8/20/09

2 hearts of romaine lettuce, halved lengthwise
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 cup of Caeser dressing
1 tablespoon of wasabi paste
1 purple onion, sliced
1 cup of crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
1 cup of grape tomatoes
1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
(to taste) salt and pepper

Drizzle lettuce and onion with olive oil, salt and pepper. Place face down on hot grill. Cook until charred but not burned.

Combine Caesar dressing and wasabi paste. Divide romaine among onto four plates. Add grilled purple onions, grape tomatoes. Drizzle with wasabi-Caeser dressing and sprinkle with Gorgonzola and Parmesan cheese.

Recipe serves four.
