Tacoma police were looking Thursday night for two missing boys -- 9-year-old Zabian Welcome and 11-year-old Jeffery Zupan.
Friday morning about 8:44 a.m., police were notified that the two boys were seen sleeping on a planting strip in front of a woman's residence. The boys were safe and were being taken to the police station to speak with detective.
On Thursday, police said they are missing from the 5400 block of South Cedar Street in Tacoma, where Zabian lives. The boys had last been seen Wednesday at about 5 p.m.
Tacoma police said the boys had words with a female caregiver at Zabian's home, and then the two boys left together. According to the caregiver, no such argument ever took place.
John Welcome, Zabian's father, said Thursday night that his son has been in trouble before and has run away but has never been gone this long.
The two boys frequent Wapato Park and Skip Vaughn Park, the police said.
Volunteer search parties were looking in Tacoma for the two boys Thursday night.
