( Patrick Raycraft, praycrart@courant.com / September 16, 2012 ) Artists Adam Niklewicz (at left on bucket lift) of North Haven and J.D. Richey of New Haven work side by side on mural of the Charter Oak at the former synagogue at 215 Pearl St., in Hartford. The 30 by 45 foot water-activated mural is a stencil glaze of the iconic tree. The temporary glaze on the brick surface is activated by moisture. The opening reception is planned for Sept. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the synagogue. |
