SPRINGFIELD, APRIL 21, 2007 -- It was an ideal day for an outdoor wedding. With a temperature near 80 degrees, a gentle breeze blowing and brilliant sunshine raining down on about 175 friends and family, KY3 News anchor Ethan Forhetz and reporter Sara Sheffield tied the knot at the Hosta Garden at Close Memorial park in southwest Springfield.

The happy couple exchanged vows on top of a rocky garden hill with a waterfall cascading downward toward the guests and the sun setting behind their attendants and their minister, the Rev. John Lindell of James River Assembly of God in Ozark.

Sara and Ethan were surrounded by their wedding party, made up of brothers and sisters and close friends. There were seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen.

The Matron of Honor was Sara's sister, Rachel Sheffield of Houston, Texas. The Best Man was Ethan's friend, Glenn Willey of Raleigh, North Carolina. Their attendants traveled from St. Louis, Oklahoma, Texas, New York, Tennessee and Las Vegas to be there.

The reception was held at University Plaza. Ethan and Sara spent their honeymoon in Aruba.

April 21 is a date Ethan had better not forget; it's also Sara's birthday!
