HOLLISTER, Mo. -- More people need help putting food on the table over the holidays. On Monday night, Taney County's Hope Center began handing out Thanksgiving meals to people who can't afford the food, and those too sick to buy it.
The group says it helped 211 families two years ago, 847 last year, and is providing food for a whopping 1,300 families this fall.
The group distributed the food baskets on Tuesday.
